Bonalumi Bottlers

Export facilitation and distributor alignment for a Swedish bottler entering Australian and Asian on-premise channels.

Markets
Sweden to Australia to Asia
Scope
Export facilitation, distributor introductions, compliance review
Engaged
2023 - present

The challenge

A family-owned Swedish bottler had strong Nordic listings but no route into Asia-Pacific. Their labelling, allergen statements and excise documentation were built for EU rules and would not clear Australian or Singaporean import screening.

Our approach

We rebuilt the export pack from the ground up — reworking label artwork against FSANZ requirements, aligning excise classifications, and appointing a bonded freight partner in Gothenburg. In parallel, our Sydney and Singapore desks shortlisted eleven on-premise distributors and ran tastings with the four strongest.

The outcome

Two exclusive distribution agreements signed within a single quarter, with the range now pouring across independent bars in Sydney, Melbourne and Singapore. The bottler runs a standing quarterly container program.

Pacific Harvest Beverages

Procurement coordination and regulatory labelling for a South American juice producer supplying UAE retail.

Markets
South America to United Arab Emirates
Scope
Procurement coordination, labelling compliance, freight planning
Engaged
2023 - 2025

The challenge

A Peruvian and Colombian juice grouping wanted Gulf retail volume but faced Arabic labelling requirements, shelf-life expectations far beyond their domestic norm, and a fragmented harvest calendar across three growing regions.

Our approach

We consolidated procurement across the three origins into a single forecast, moved the pack format to an aseptic line that held a twelve-month shelf life, and produced bilingual artwork cleared through Dubai Municipality. Freight was rerouted through a reefer consolidation point to smooth seasonal peaks.

The outcome

The range now supplies two UAE grocery chains and a hospitality wholesaler, with landed cost per litre reduced by consolidating three origins onto shared sailings.

Specialty Coffee

Meridian Coffee Collective

Export structuring and buyer introductions for a Southeast Asian green coffee collective entering Australia.

Markets
Southeast Asia to Australia
Scope
Export structuring, buyer introductions, ongoing supply management
Engaged
2022 - present

The challenge

A collective of smallholder growers sold through intermediaries at commodity pricing, with no traceability record that Australian specialty roasters would accept.

Our approach

We structured the collective as a single export entity, introduced lot-level traceability from farm to container, and arranged cupping sessions with specialty roasters in Melbourne and Brisbane. Contracts were written on a fixed-differential basis to protect grower income against commodity swings.

The outcome

Green coffee now moves direct to seven roasters on annual forward contracts, with growers holding a materially higher share of the FOB price.

Contracted vintage allocation from Chilean valleys, placed into UK on-trade and Japanese premium retail through our distribution desks.

Markets

Scope
Vineyard-direct allocation, vintage contracting, on-trade placement
Engaged
2024 - present

The challenge

Three Colchagua and Maipo estates were selling surplus in bulk at low margin while lacking the export infrastructure to reach premium bottled markets.

Our approach

Our wine desk contracted allocations ahead of harvest, commissioned bottling under a shared export label, and handled UK duty registration alongside Japanese import certification. Placement was run through our London on-trade contacts and a Tokyo premium retail partner.

The outcome

Bottled allocations now list across UK independent restaurant groups and a Japanese department-store retail program, with allocations contracted twelve months ahead of each vintage.

Lumin Focus Drinks

A lion's mane and L-theanine focus drink vetted for specification and claims, then placed into modern trade across three markets.

Markets
Sweden to Australia to Singapore
Scope
Producer vetting, functional claim review, retail buyer introductions
Engaged
2024 - present

The challenge

Functional claims that were permissible in the EU could not be carried into Australia or Singapore, and the brand had no evidence pack to satisfy retail buyer screening.

Our approach

We commissioned third-party assays on active levels, rewrote the on-pack claim set for each jurisdiction, and built a buyer-facing evidence dossier. Retail introductions ran through our Sydney and Singapore desks into convenience and health-format chains.

The outcome

Compliant across all three markets and listed in modern trade, with a reorder cycle established inside the first six months.

Adaptogen and Botanical

Verdant Botanical Tonics

Ashwagandha and ginseng tonics sourced from Indian producers, certified for Gulf hospitality supply and Australian wellness retail.

Markets
India to United Arab Emirates to Australia
Scope
Ingredient sourcing, halal certification support, Horeca supply
Engaged
2023 - present

The challenge

Botanical inputs varied batch to batch, and Gulf hospitality buyers required halal certification the producer had never held.

Our approach

We set specification tolerances for active botanical content, audited two Indian producers against them, and guided the certification process through an approved Gulf body. Supply was then matched to hotel groups through our Dubai desk and to wellness retail in Australia.

The outcome

Certified supply now runs into Gulf hospitality minibar and wellness menus alongside an Australian specialty retail listing.

Low and No Alcohol

Clearline Zero Proof

A zero-proof spirits and de-alcoholised wine line launched across low-ABV growth markets, supported by our brand partnership desk.

Markets
United Kingdom to Australia to Middle East
Scope
Market entry, de-alcoholised wine positioning, distributor onboarding
Engaged
2024 - present

The challenge

Zero-proof pricing sat close to full-strength spirits, and buyers in each market interpreted de-alcoholised categories differently — a single positioning would not travel.

Our approach

We built three market-specific positioning decks, reworked the serve strategy with bar consultants in London and Dubai, and onboarded distributors under staged volume commitments rather than large upfront orders.

The outcome

Live across three regions with venue-level activation, and the range now anchors our low and no alcohol portfolio for hospitality clients.

Prebiotic and Gut Health

Gutflow Prebiotic Sodas

Kombucha and prebiotic soda formats engineered to survive long-haul freight, placed across modern trade in three regions.

Markets
Australia to Southeast Asia to Europe
Scope
Shelf-stable formulation review, freight survival testing, retail placement
Engaged
2023 - present

The challenge

Live-culture formats fermented in transit, arriving over-carbonated or spoiled after tropical transhipment — an unworkable risk for retail buyers.

Our approach

We ran accelerated freight-simulation trials across temperature and pressure profiles, moved the range to a stabilised shelf-stable format, and specified reefer settings and routing that avoided extended tropical dwell time.

The outcome

Arrival integrity resolved, with the range now listed in modern trade across three regions and shipping without temperature excursion claims.

Protein and Sports Nutrition

Apex Recovery RTD

Collagen and recovery RTDs from a New Zealand producer matched into grocery and gym distribution networks with seasonal reorder planning.

Markets
New Zealand to Australia to United Arab Emirates
Scope
RTD protein sourcing, gym distribution network, reorder planning
Engaged
2022 - present

The challenge

Demand spiked seasonally while the producer planned production flat, leading to stockouts in peak months and heavy carryover in quiet ones.

Our approach

We modelled demand by channel across three markets, moved the producer onto a rolling reorder plan, and split distribution between grocery wholesale and a specialist gym network so seasonal peaks offset one another.

The outcome

Continuous availability through peak season across all three markets, with production planning now driven by forward channel forecasts.

Premium Water and Mixers

Harbourline Premium Water

Premium mineral water and craft tonics paired alongside our spirits programs, placed into hotel and fine-dining channels.

Markets
New Zealand to Japan to Middle East
Scope
Mineral water sourcing, craft mixer pairing, hospitality placement
Engaged
2024 - present

The challenge

Premium water is judged on provenance and glassware presentation, and the source had neither the mineral analysis documentation nor the packaging to sit on a fine-dining table.

Our approach

We commissioned independent mineral analysis, moved the range into heavier flint glass with a restrained finish, and paired the water and craft tonics with spirits already running through our hospitality programs so venues could take a single combined listing.

The outcome

Now poured across hotel and fine-dining groups in Japan and the Gulf, sold as a paired water and mixer program rather than a standalone line.
